Overview

imgswitch is a simple file conversion tool. We have designed it with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains exactly what happens to your files and data when you use our service.

Files you upload

When you convert a HEIC file, the following happens:

Your file is uploaded to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
The file is temporarily stored on the server only for the duration of the conversion process.
The converted JPG file is sent back to your browser.
Both the original HEIC file and the converted JPG are deleted from our server immediately after your download begins.
A background cleanup process removes any remaining temporary files every 10 minutes.

We do not read, analyse, share, or sell your files or their contents under any circumstances.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect:

Your name, email address, or any personal identifying information
Account information (no accounts exist)
Cookies or tracking data
Your photos or any metadata from them

Server logs

Our server automatically records standard technical logs, including IP addresses and request timestamps. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and troubleshooting. They are not linked to your uploaded files and are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

Third parties

We do not share any data with third parties. We do not use advertising networks, analytics platforms, or tracking services.

Security

All connections to imgswitch are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Files are stored temporarily in an isolated directory on our server and deleted immediately after use.

Children

imgswitch is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
